Pakistan’s favorite cricket players have appeared in a live action film for the first time, as they each offer their own cricket bundles in the world’s most popular battle royale game. Users will have the opportunity to see their cricketing heroes as superheroes and use their in-game bundles.

A call for support was issued to the whole community through an online event, held inside the game, where each Free Fire player could donate the virtual tokens that they earned by simply playing the game. Each token collected was equivalent to 100g of rice. This event produced an overwhelming response and ended up creating a social media movement where users circulated the hashtag #KheloApnoKayLiay and over 250,000 tokens were generated within just 3 days, which was equivalent to 25,000 Kg of rice.

This 25,000 kg of rice was then donated to the trusted JDC Foundation to be distributed to the flood victims in the most adversely affected areas. A well-known content creator from Free Fire’s Community, Rauf Khalid, otherwise known as Rufe Bhai, was present on-site to handover the rice to JDC Foundation: “I am extremely honoured and proud of how the gaming community has come together to help our nation in such times. The second FFWS 2022 tournament will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, home of its last two champions, Attack All Around (FFWS 2022 Sentosa champion) and EVOS Phoenix (FFWS 2021 SG champion), previously known as Phoenix Force.

The FFWS 2022 Bangkok will be the fourth edition of the most awaited global tournament, which brings together the best teams. Qualifiers for the FFWS will be held in several regions in the coming months, with the top teams earning the chance to compete for the coveted title.

In May, Attack All Around faced EVOS Phoenix in the FFWS 2022 Sentosa arena as they competed for the champion title. Attack All Around ultimately won the title and was crowned the champion. EVOS Phoenix has previously won Thailand’s first-ever FFWS championship in 2021.

Two months after winning FFPL III, HoB faced other reigning teams from the region at the Play-ins stage which ultimately decided whether they would go on to the finals to compete for the grand prize pool worth $2,000,000. The superfinal match was played under floodlights, a day after the final of Khyber Pakhtunkwa leg of the tournament where an experienced Chitral team downed Mardan to clinch victory and to qualify for the grand finale against Muslim Club Chaman. The two sides enjoyed the extensive national and international experience and were powered by extremely talented footballers. 

Owing to the gigantic support base in Peshawar, DFA Chitral enjoyed a near-home-ground advantage, which coupled with its effective strategy and cohesive game plan,  gave it early dominance over Muslim Club Chaman. Chitral’s player Yousaf masterfully tackled a long-range assist from fellow player Muhammad Rasul to send the ball into Muslim Club’s goalpost in the 11th minute. Muhammad Rasul returned to capitalize on Ziaul Islam’s assist to score another goal in the 24th minute to solidify his team’s grip on the match. DFA Chitral crowned Super Champion of Ufone 4G Football Cup.

Muslim Club Chaman seemed to have found its rhythm towards the end of the 1st half where it launched a couple of well-coordinated attacks on their opponent but failed to get past Chitral’s unassailable defenses. The team then got a golden chance in form of a penalty in the 74th minute but failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

DFA Chitral dominated the match through maximum possession of the ball and continuous coordinated attacks, besides successfully preventing Muslim Club Chaman from orchestrating a comeback in the match. The strategy worked out for Chitral, which lifted up the gleaming Super Champions trophy in front of the overjoyed crowd present to cheer for the team.

The Tehmas Khan Football Stadium dazzled under the floodlights on the chilly Saturday evening where the two teams clashed for glory. Experience prevailed as DFA Chitral caught Mardan off-guard at the very beginning of the contest. Just 3 minutes into the match, Khaleequz Zaman capitalized on a beautiful assist from Muhammad Rasul to send the ball wheezing past the goalkeeper through a well-timed header. In the 40th minute, Chitral’s Muhammad Rasul had the ball meet the net but it was flagged an ‘off-side’. The second half featured continuous attacks on both sides but no more goals could be scored and Chitral won the match 1-0 to lift the trophy. Both the winner and runner-up teams received a medal and cash prizes from the guest of honor, Group Chief Human Resource Officer, PTCL & Ufone, Syed Mazhar Hussain. Supporters of Chitral went into a frenzy when the team captain Muhammad Rasul lifted the gleaming trophy in the air.  Apart from the sensational performances on the field; the final match also included musical performances and fireworks to entertain the crowd.

DFA Chitral will face Muslim Club Chaman, the winner of Ufone Football Cup Balochistan on Sunday, December 12 at 6:00 PM at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar to decide the ultimate champion of Ufone 4G Football Cup 2021. The first Semi-Final match was played between DFA Charsadda and DFA Mardan at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Friday. Despite repeated attacks on both sides, no goal could be scored during the allocated time. Some of the shots were near misses but defenses outweighed offensive tactics on both sides and the match was ultimately decided on penalties.  This stage of the contest was however dominated by DFA Mardan, which took away the match 4 against 2 to book its slot in the Final. 

The second match was played between DFA Chitral and Waziristan Combined under floodlights at a packed Tehmas Khan Football Stadium. The two teams appeared to be in impeccable touch however, Chitral was tipped as favorites for its extensive collective experience and history as the Runner up of the 1^st edition of Ufone 4G Football Cup.

DFA Chitral dominated the match from the beginning through maximum possession of the ball as well as by launching fierce attacks at regular intervals. In the 18th minute, DFA Chitral’s Muhammad Rasul sent the ball wheezing past the Waziristan goalkeeper to put his team in command. Chitral’s dominance was further solidified by Ziaul Islam who added the second goal in 24 minutes into the match. Waziristan Combined took its time to respond. It started the second half on a triumphant note when Faheemullah scored the 1st goal for his team in the 50th minute. The rest of the match remained an active contest on both sides, with Chitral seeking to reinforce its dominance while Waziristan looking to equalize the scores.  The day was however carried by DFA Chitral when its player Ziaul Islam scored a sensational long-range goal, his second,  in the 93^rd minute, labeled as the ‘goal of the tournament’ by commentators, propelling his team into the Finals by 3-1. Mardan & Chitral Make it to the Final.

In addition to the memorable performances on the field, the Semi-Final matches also featured cultural performances and music to entertain the crowd. The Final match will be played on 11th December between DFA Mardan and DFA Chitral to decide the winner of the Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The winner of the Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will then face Muslim Club Chaman, the winners of the Balochistan leg of the cup in a Super Final match, the grand finale being played on 12th December at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar under floodlights. The winner will be the ultimate Champion of Ufone 4G Football Cup 2021. The Semi-Finals, Final and Super Final matches will be broadcast live on PTV Sports, ProPakistani and the official social media channels of Ufone 4G.
